Theory: If SOA had successfully convinced SOJ to make the Saturn backwards compatible with the massively successful Genesis, it would have saved the console.
I'm thinking they should have abandoned the 32x and worked on an adapter device for the Saturn's memcard/romcard port to make it work. It could have even played SegaCD games too.

What is the easiest and cheapest way to play this thing on a television in 2020?

I don’t care what the video output is, I have an assortment of screens to choose from. All I want to do is sit on my couch and play Saturn games. Beetle Saturn works well on my PC but I don’t want that to live in my living room. I tried the pi4 and... yuck.
I’d like to keep it under $100 ideally, and avoid just shoving a laptop behind the TV. Should I just buy a Saturn? What would I need to play burned discs? Is there a solid state solution that’s cheaper and works better?
