Well, I was going to say B at first but the bottom of the explosion sprite looks kind of off, A might look better if it was actually gibbing the zombieman.
How much are you willing to hand draw/touch up?

Given my own experience in modding a spritesheet (it got tedious as fuck by the end of it) I often did not draw my own things but played around with other assets. I'd get really perfectionist like on individual pixels.

SLADE for the decorate of your gun, you'll also use that to line up your sprites and offset them etc so the player sees it when he pulls it out.
