It's also a silly comparison anyway because banning an object like a gun isn't equivalent to what the moral guardians are trying to ban, which is ideas. Even something like Prohibition, as stupid as it was, isn't the same thing as moral guardianship. You could at least make an argument for not wanting people to have access to a vice. But wanting to ban Mortal Kombat was about not wanting people to see something that is entirely fictional.
