Given the horrific load times I'm inclined to say that's up for debate.

Hero's Tail was just about the last halfway decent Spyro game the series had, and it still doesn't come that close to the originals, and more or less gets credit for being more playable than Enter the Dragonfly and at least trying to invoke a bit of the feeling Spyro had early on (I still find it shocking that for both Spyro and Crash, it seems to be fairly impossible for the current developers to really come close to getting the vibes and atmosphere the Insomniac/Naughty Dog games had down right; is it really that hard to do), though it doesn't exactly succeed.
