This. Perfect Genesis emulation and an SD card slot to boot. Great screen, 6 buttons, battery life is years, etc. Found it for 40 bucks at Big Lots around Black Friday.

Other than that I just use my Nexus 7 and MOGA controller. Nexus runs everything N64 and earlier flawlessly. Plus, it's a sweet tablet.

I guess my only gripe about the Nexus is that unless you want to use on-screen controls, you have to have a place to set it down.
