Does Suikoden II use the L2 or R2 buttons?

My retro USB controller only has 2 shoulder buttons, so I need to know if L2 and R2 is used in the game. The wiki mentions nothing, I can't find anything about the game's control layout on GameFaqs, and the online instruction manual I searched for online is missing the pages I need.
