Just because its NTSC-J only doesn't mean its good.
In fact, its often the opposite, you'd wonder what kind of stuff even a budget company would make to not publish it overseas with a limited print run.
90% of J-only games are VN ports and shitty adventure games & shmups, on both the PS Uno and the PS Double, and even the Saturn to some degree. There are some gems, but more often than not, they have actual fucking gameplay like Chaindive which turns every single one of you faggots off.
You'll probably stop caring when MYSTERIOUS NIPPONESE ADVENTURE GAME gets translated, as I have seen many times. Because that way, it loses the mystery and gets exposed for being a shitty game, doesn't it?
