I suck at making up my mind, I went back to using the golden ring with the blue gem for the melee ring, seeing as it's not really a berserk ring, it's a melee boosting ring for all of the characters.
and hey look, the little HUD dagger changes as you get different power ups.

It's not the same without the archvile flames
