Darklands is a strong contender

Rich in historical accuracy (real map of Germany, thorough description of a variety of saints, weapon types, etc) with a tactical combat system.

Open world design with a goal to become the most popular in the land by doing a variety of quests like killing mythical beasts, stopping witches, taking down robber barons, and the occasional parcel delivery.
