Depends on the resolution of the source material. Though the color depth and clarity you get with RGB (or component) is leaps and bounds ahead of composite. If you ever get the chance, watch something in HD on a CRT that supports 480p or more. The quality is unbelievable. My shitty phone pic doesn't do it justice.

Couldn't agree more in regards to video playback on CRTs. I've recently started using my 14L5 as a second monitor (not always on, of course), and I watched some 4:3 anime via HD-SDI. I was able to compare it side by side with my LCD, and there really is no competition. For 480p and lower, any artifacting that can be seen on my LCD is practically invisible on the PVM. But seeing the higher res stuff is what really blew me away. Color and black levels are some of the most vibrant I've ever seen on any display. My crappy phone pic hardly does it any justice, but I feel like seeing this in person could cause anyone who thinks CRTs are 100% obsolete to reconsider. The only complaint I can think of is the underscan, which I'd probably chalk up to the resolution my computer is outputting.
