I... don't really understand the question, OP. All three of the Game Boy games were all basically the same: 'A Link To the Past,' but with more restrictive direction/pacing.

I've never finished ANY Zelda game in my entire life from start to finish, but I have played through significant portions of a great many of them and I have seen many different segments of what the games have to offer. So although I am definitely NOT an expert on the series (or a credible source, for that matter) all I can say is that they ALL have a certain charm that is indistinguishable from any other game in the series.

Say what you will about the Zelda games (that I have played at least) but holy FUCK if the devs didn't go WAY out of their ways to create fresh experiences with each new entry.
