the puzzles should be in tone with the general gameplay, not take you out of it. when you find that water shit you get stuck or have to get totally into it to try and solve it and then go back to the game, whereas when finding this music joke that passes for a puzzle, your mind will expect some kind of minimal challenge, as it is engaged with the game itself, but it finds something that is already solved but you have to make the actual purely mechanical effort to put it together.

imagine trying to run on the ground, then in a pool and then on a trampoline... can you keep the same pace?
