I've been playing some duke maps from the 90's and 2000's and holy shit, why are they so nicely designed? Duke3d maps in general just has this neat "aesthetic" about 'em that I can't seem to figure out. All my attempts at making something similar in doom have fallen flat, and i can't think of any other wad that does the same.
