Having Tifa join your 'fiesta' is pretty hilarious, but it takes away from the game atmosphere.

This was actually secretly intended by the devs. It's the only time in the game where Zidane and Freya can be the only party members, having their own dialogue for it. It's also the only way to open the treasure chest behind the windmill gears.

Speaking of synthesis exploits, you can make infinite money by synthesizing cotton robe trick, the only recipe where the sell value of the new item is greater than the purchase value of its ingredients.

Kill Garnet and Steiner to level up Marcus, his stats compound with Eiko, thereby giving her higher stats than if you leveled her up directly. All the temporary party members share the same stat pool with permanent party members, but iirc only Marcus is bugged that his levels compound.
