Sounds to me like Capcom just didn't know how to harness the better architecture of the PS2. Even so, the same team was still able to achieve far better cel shading graphics than celda.

Indeed, it was particles, lighting, and postprocessing that made games of that era stand out, arenas in which the PS2 and xBox could excel, but the GameCube just could not keep up.

I already did. Gran Turismo 4 is well beyond what the GameCube was capable of. Pic related is another, which makes celda look like the kiddy joke of a game it is, by comparison.
