Just starting this. It's my first retro JRPG besides Pokemon, what should I expect? There's not much in the way of a tutorial, I'm just camping around the starting town to level up for the moment.

The original Phantasy Star games 1 to 4 Sega Master System and Sega Genesis have plenty of anime influence OP their plots and mechanics are pretty hard to grasp at first imo but their well worth the time if you want a anime inspired RPG

what's the best way to play each of the classic Phantasy Stars? which versions / romhacks do you guys recommend? i bought the Sega Ages version of the first game, but i'm not really sure if this version is any good
