Being able to save anywhere at any time is CHEATING and BAD GAME DESIGN. It incentivizes SAVESCUMMING.

Developers should decide checkpoints!!! As an Elite Member of the Developers' Intentions Evaluation and Assessment Association, I can conclude and affirm that unrestricted save is bad because it makes it impossible to ascertain with a high level of precision what exactly the developers intended.

Having one controller configuration filter down to all cores is the most absolute retarded shit. I think it's designed like that so it would impress pic related when he can play one system on his retropie then switch to another right away WOW! All the other options can be configured per core or per game, so there's no reason for controller mapping to be on a different level.
My workaround was to save separate main retroarch configuration files for each controller. For me, it just werks while "plug in a controller and retroarch automagically configures it" never werks right.
