/vr/ - Retro Games

I posted this one some weeks ago in a thread, but it didn't get any replies at all and I just tried again to get into this game:

Have any of you played 1944: The Loop Master? For some reason, this game kicks my ass; after quite a bunch of tries I still can't consistently beat the game after around stage 2's boss / stage 3's boss. And I've been able to clear some hard arcade shooters before. Am I alone here? Any suggestions to increase my consistency here, other than the obvious "just keep playing"?

Otherwise, just talk about these games in general here.

Sup. I've tried to play 1944: The Loop Master more lately (only tried it a bit previously) and for some reason this game still kicks my ass very early on, from stage 2's boss onward.
I'm no expert on these games but I've cleared a few, even other Raizing games like Batrider and Bakraid which are no slouch. Has anyone here played this game? What do you think about this? If you have some tips, you're welcome.
