I have fond memories of all DKC games. I first rented DKC1 when I was in the 1st grade. I remember faking an illness just to stay home and get to the next world. I would load up the Funky Kong level and just listen to the music while I played with my action figures. Goddamn those were memorable times.

DKC2 I had this huge maple leafs garbage bin filled with pennies that my parents would just toss in whenever they had change. I eventually had 80 dollars worth. Went down to Kmart with my Mom and got DKC2. Played the sweet fuck out of that game for years.

DKC3 I got one year for christmas. It was the main present I wanted and my parents pulled one of those tricks where it wasn't with all the other gifts under the tree. After I opened everything i realized it wasn't going to happen until my dad said "hey wait a second, there is one more over here"...big shit eating grin spread across my face because I just knew what it was.

DKC3 was the only donkey kong game I 100%. All those golden birds and fuckin dk coins. I shit my pants the first time that island burst out of the ocean with all of the secret levels.
