Okay, I am pretty sure I answered one of my own questions, as when I try to chance the colors with the Commodore Key and a number, I get varying degrees of black and white, and I know it's supposed to change font color, and I think the background is supposed to be blue. Well, having it plugged in this way is a good workaround to get a picture.

As for the back, what do you guys think? Maybe someone ripped out the back jack and hot glued this weird backing then replaced it with a different colored jack? If that's the case, what can I do to restore S-Video to this 1702?
Besides the back, and me needing to get a power button 3-D printed for it, this monitor is in excellent shape.
