Autistic rant incoming: I used to be in the "REEE FREE THE GAMES! MUH PRESERVATIONISM!!!" field until I realized that both collectorfags and releasethedamnromfags are pretty fucking autistic. No one actually cares about the games they're hoarding/fighting over, they only care about this cloudy concept of LOST RARE GAME THAT MUST BE <preserved/acquired>. I mean, one of the most prominent "famous" vidya preservationists is just a guy that pretty much admits he sold himself as a professional to the industry so he could further his hobby of getting rare unreleased media, now directly from the source.

Most of these games are insignificant and/or shitty and we have a shit ton of cultural vidya related artifacts from the 70's ownards anyway, let the actual museums and preservation societies (like the one from that bald frenchman in Japan) worry about it. You already have a mountain of "undiscovered" games (for you) that you will never be able to cover in a lifetime, even superficially. Some people have whole PLATFORMS they never played, for fuck's sake. Go play 'em and stop getting obssessed with some japanese multimedia edutainment game from the 90's that sold 100 copies and is out of print.

Whew that's it thanks for reading my blog. I suppose you could get some entertainment from the salt and autism of leaks from both parties but it's really insignificant compared to actually playing decent to good games.
