That's got to be deliberate.

lol seriously? Fuck off, it's objectively a faithful yet very shallow carbon copy. They even copied the camera, fucking hell you didn't improve nothing but at least the god fucking damn camera, why did they copy that too, why... fucking camera niggers, to be fair this matter kind of sucks at first, but you can get into it. MediEvil 2 on the other hand... the camera on that game is just fucked

Dunno how popular or unpopular this opinion is, since I've barely ever discussed this series with anyone online before, but was anyone else disappointed that the second game takes place in the "real world"?
Like, the first game has it's own unique fantasy world (or at least fictional European kingdom), but with the second game, they were just like "lol, it takes place in London now". Like, they missed out on a pretty cool opportunity to show what Gallowmere would be like centuries after the original game if it went through it's own Victorian-esque industrial revolution, while still keeping the same premise. But nah, they just ditched the original game's setting. What a waste.

Reminder that after that awful reboot for PSP we're having yet another spit on the grave of Fortesque, with something that looks like a project made with Unity by highschoolers. I don't get this remake/remaster/etc. fever these days, it's just a blatant cash in with nostalgics and new players alike, but getting people to know those legends with something like that is never a good thing... Even Crash N.Sane Trilogy which seemed something good for once, screwed up the most simple thing of a platform game: the physics... Crash is slow, his jump inertia is fucked... Now i'm digressing though. You get the point. FUCK REMAKES.

I hate having shit taste. Like most of the games I like most are unpopular, and often considered shit. But to a degree the opposite is usually true, as well. The most popular games are usually very 'meh' to me or might even be my least favorites in a series.

Favorite Mario game? SMB2

Favorite Final Fantasy? FF9
Least Favorite? FF7

Favorite non-FF RPG? Chrono Cross

Favorite Classicvania? Bloodlines
Least Favorite? Super IV

Favorite Resident Evil? REmake/Director's Cut
Least Favorite? RE2

Favorite Contra game? Hard Corps
Least Favorite? The original (which I actually hate)

Favorite Beat 'em Up? Golden Axe III or Hyperstone Heist
Least Favorite? Streets of Rage and Final Fight

Favorite TMNT Game? The original TMNT on NES

Favorite Toejam & Earl Game? Panic on Funkotron

Favorite Sonic Game? Sonic 3D Blast
Least Favorite (of the classics)? Sonic & Knuckles

I also love the NES Jaws, Treasure Master, Roger Rabbit, and Pagemaster for the Genesis.

It extends into non-Retro games as well... and movies, but that's not for here.

Gotta agree here, 2 just wasn't as good. It wasn't nearly as spoopy as the first game, and the setting didn't have the same charm to it.

I'm sensing a pattern here.
