Why are western oldschool/pc rpgs so bad and cumbersome? No, i'm not expecting a masterpiece like Skyrim before 1999 but most of them are downright unplayable in their obtuse systems. It's not something "old games did" either, other old game genres are fine, its mostly RPGs not from Japan.
