This is asking for a bunch of shitty "lel muh gaymer gf" replies. It wasn't so much "warm bodies" as it was having a location that stocked new games most people couldn't afford. So you went there with some friends, or alone, and had some fun, though the social aspect was always secondary to the awesome games.

Obviously the convenience of being able to play everything at home, buying games online without having to set foot in a shithole etc. is great, but the irony is there are no good games to buy nowadays. When arcades were around arcade developers HAD to make the games good because they were sinking huge amounts of money into big cabinets and distribution/promotion and people would fuck off after 1 play if it wasn't any good. Nowadays people pre-order garbage and there are no distribution costs so devs have gotten lazy and corrupt. Why wouldn't they, given their audience are fucking retards sitting on a couch with a credit card.
