Why did they remove Geno and Mallow from the American cover?

Hey /vr/,

Not sure what board to post this in, but I have a situation going on. As of right now both me and my mother are going through issues with depression during our own respective lives. We do not live together, but I come over almost weekly to help her around her and her husband's home. I want to be able to have something memorable for her and when I was younger I would read out loud text-based games which she found amusing. During her recent bout of suicidal thoughts I was unable to see her so I sent her shitty quality videos of me playing Super Mario RPG (as we are both Mario fans) to her as I read the dialogue in different voices. It actually helped quite a bit.

Long story short I would like to be able to record the footage and but over it, but I have no fucking idea how. Any advice where to start? Plenty of Lets's Play fags can do it but I just want to figure out how I can at least record emulator footage properly.

Any help is appreciated anons.

Just picked up this game. What am I in for?

is this worth giving a spin nowadays? I kept hearing it getting praised for years and years but never tried it. Can a grown adult enjoy it, or is it too childish?

Why weren't many of the classic SNES RPGs released for UK consoles? Even basic shit like Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG didn't get a release.

I'm not very familiar with the RPG genre, as I was turned away years ago by tedious endless grinding that plagues the genre. I don't have the patience or willingness to deal with heavy grinding. It's not my cup of tea. However I've had the urge to give the genre another try since I constantly see people talking about all the great games.

I'm looking for suggestions for RPGs that are not heavy on grinding to a point where they'd be enjoyable to someone like me. It can be for any /vr/ system. Master System, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Gear, PlayStation, anything. Consider me totally clueless on the games that exist. Pic related, I figured a Mario based RPG wouldn't be that hard if they were going for a broad audience, but what do I know.
