I had no idea these existed and they actually got some good ones, and some I've wanted to try for a while like OG Punch Out and Kiki Kaikai. I have do some checking and see how they run, mihght throw a buck or two at stuff like Mystic Warriors, that on the fly sounds fun.

Yeah their approach was fucked from the start, we should consider ourselves lucky Kirby and Twinbee came out before they shelved the project. I'm still mad no 3D Castlevania 3, or Megaman or Shatterhand. Man I really hope Tengo Project does Shatterhand when they're done with Shadow of the Ninja.

Kind of irrelevant how the generic emulator ran, I bet you anything, with these being a case-by-case basis with work done on them and optimizations beyond what the original system could manage (luke you said, Kirby's Adventure is the definitive edition of it), they could have gotten pretty definitive with some elbow grease. After all, Streets of Rage, Shinobi 3 Space Harrier Gunstar Heroes and all those Megadrive/Arcade games had more crap on the screen and ran faster than anything on the SNES. We could have gotten an awesome Ghouls and Ghosts or a Gradius 3 without slowdown; a Starfox 1 with unfucked framerate, ditto for 2 (playing that one on the 3DS would have been awesome), the company just didn't care.

tldr Arika and M2 put the work in the ones they got to, they could have made any 90s game work on the thing

The frustrating thing is, I got it to work wirelessly just out of the box. I just pressed Start and the blue lights turned on, and it worked. Now the weird menu thing I could go into does not open either. I don't know what's different know, I have no clue why all this is happening, I first thought the battery was dead. For all I know, I still don't know how to turn it on in the first place. I'm such a fucking dumbass.

Fuck it, I don't want to deal with this. I'll trade it in and buy the right one since it's still in warranty.

But what I said still stands, be patient on the towers (take your time to kill the bats and PAY ATTENTION TO THE SPEAR GUYS, the last ones before the boss come from off screen) and just, take care of the imp guys before moving on, know what distance to jump when the lava cauldron section is over and if you make it to the Red Arremer with the gold armor, you can just cheese him with the knife's charge shot. And unironically, get the knife. Knife or crossbow are the way to go here.
