I decided to bust out the NES mini and this was the only game that looked worth getting into. I've beaten it a dozen times but hey that's over almost 30 years... On top of that I almost always played the SNES All Stars version, so this was the first time playing it on the actually NES in a looong time.

Right away I am liking it better than the SNES version with the graphics. The art style is much superior, and the variety in world 1 and now starting world 2 is amazing. The non dog bone controller is hurting my hands, a lot, but I'm getting used to it. Trying to go through all the levels in one sitting. Wish me luck.

Is Mario 3 the Greatest Video Game of All-Time?

In terms of lasting impression, innovation, pop culture status, and still being a game that is cherished today, was Mario 3 the very best that the video game industry has ever seen or produced?

Looking back on it, it's more impressive to me since we were dirt poor and yet Mario 3 was obtained brand new so close to launch. I remember probably annoying my parents when I asked how did Santa make video games at the North Pole

So from what I hear, this got a remake on the SNES called "All Stars"! Does it add any extra stuff?

Super Marios Bros. 3 and World. To the point where I don't even know if I can consider them the 10/10 masterpieces I once did, even though I know they are amazingly designed games and have nothing but fond memories of them.

Why don't I like this? I like the first and second (real second not the American one).
