Did REmake make the original RE1 obsolete? Did they only make this remake because people need to have the most up to date graphics to enjoy a game? And does it surpass the original at or is it a soulless remake that should not have been made?

Framerate dips really bad and I get some delayed pauses in certain spots of the mansion when the camera changes angles.
