Yes, the a3d demos sound pretty decent, but actual gameplay is shit. Unreal and Half Life also don't sound any different. Yes I'm wearing headphones.

Are A3D compatible sound cards worth getting for retro rig? Like Aureal Vortex2 SuperQuad, i would use it with Gigaworks S750 and Pioneer SE Q404. Can someone comment on these?
