3112012

I have composed another information dump for DOOM 2016, split into categories.
I recommend you read my previous info dump, though some of the information there is probably wrong so is some of the information here.
Disassembly is a very connect-the-dots method.

//
// Oh Fuck, DLC
//

There is now proof that there will be single-player DLC, even if it's not currently in the executable: Save games will check for DLC.

Day-one DLC:
Some multi-player demons will be DLC as well. A "Demon MP DLC Pack" is present somewhere.
Some (a lot of) multi-player game modes will be DLC, despite being implemented in the game already.
Hack modules will be included in (as?) DLC.
SnapMap will have 3 DLC 'palettes' (arrays of things you can place and do) on release. These, again, are already implemented in the game. :(

//
// Co-op
//

Co-operative modes are confirmed. PVP co-operative is present as well, which is probably something like -deathmatch without -nomonsters.

//
// Engine Stuff
//

I think AAS means Active Area System, being for dynamic soundscapes and AI traversal.
The game has very detailed damage modelling for every appendage.
Enemies can get mad at you. :D
There is a subsystem named Hydra, which is for QOS match-making. I think. Maybe.
The engine uses some kind of prorpietary version of Adobe's Shockwave Flash format, named BSWF, with a header (magic number) of "BSW".
This could be something that already exists, but I don't know about it.
