Love this shit.

Anyone else into these and collecting them all? Apparently there is 19 NA releases, and I'm trying to play/beat them all and get the carts. I've got 14 of them, missing...

All hard as hell to find in a game store. I hate to admit it, but I don't think I've beaten one since they all are notoriously hard, and take a lot of grinding and dedication to beat. Just don't have the time or patience, but I've made it decently far in all of them.

Favorites so far are...

>R-Type III
>U.N. Squadron

Everything else is a distant second.

Probably not quite that obscure, but underrated and underplayed for sure.

Two player co-op, and no slowdown on the SNES with a shoot 'em up. It was a little generic, a product of slightly before it's time, but it embraced that. Each player controlled a different vehicle type where one was in the air the other on the ground, therefore even though the game was 2D, there was 3D gameplay since certain objects and enemies were able to be dodged by both.

The only thing on the SNES I play 2 player with my bros more than this is Tetris Attack. Fighting games? Fuck no. Mario Kart? Hah. No this is going on.

Two player shmup where each vehicle you control is different, giving a 3D space and strategy to the overhead view. It's pretty hard and generic after that, but it's got some great 80s tech visuals and sound that brings you back to those arcades.

Speaking of next down the ladder, Firepower 2000 doesn't get enough love. It has great graphics and aesthetic. Isn't too hard, and you can play it two player with a jeep and helicopter. Very different, but a lot of fun.
