Well it very clearly says it takes full inspiration from the rollcage games, and even has former rollcage devs working on it. One of them I believe is the codemonkey dude who made rollcage redux and rollcage stage II extreme edition, both of which are ports of the 2 games designed to work perfectly for modern systems.

I know they aren't trying to be very original but I personally think it's better than nothing. It's either this or the as the anon said above, more sim games and semi-sim NFS games, Chances are half of these games won't release anyways. Formula Fusion itself is heading into vaporware territory.
Maybe once AG racing proves itself to be stable in today's market will we get some more original titles.
