Don't forget the Pixel Remasters also (re-)orchestrate the music. And surprise-surprise, it's a very mixed bag. FF1-3 sound good -3 is down-right the best it's ever been- but I dunno what happened to 4-6. they sound weak as hell. Some of it is legit off-key, 4's battle music actually hurts my ears and I have no earthly idea how such earbleeding notes made it past quality-control it's so bad. And because of the instrumentation the games start to not only look too samey but sound samey as well. Honestly if I didn't know better, 1-2 sound like alternate takes of the existing PS1 version, 3 sounds like something made years ago but SE held off on using it since there was no PS1/2 version and DS hardware couldn't handle it, and 4-6 sound like newly composed ones.
