Also like I said, you CAN'T do this in any offical 3D Sonic game because they removed all the classic physics since Heroes, and SA1/2 had half baked rolling physics at best, which was already half borked to begin with

But like I said, nothing in the 3D games looks technically impressive like that webm shows, and I believe that's a very much needed factory to keep games as being timeless without the need of autistic stories for schizos or weebs. Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, 3D World, Odyssey. All of these have so much player freedom with how Mario can move in these games its no wonder so many speedrunfags play these games for eons on end and keep discovering more ways to beat the game in crazy ways. Unlike Sonic where it's just the exact same experience between all 1 million total Sonic fans on loop. Forces was one of the worse examples I've ever seen, the entire game was just a sony tier movie game.

And the sad part is, this isn't exclusive to Mario. You got Smash Bros Melee, Ratchet 1, a plathora of fighting games among others that all have this "tech ceiling" about them that always have fans talking about these game in good faith for so many years people can agree on. Everything I see people praise SA1/2 I just seen automated movie games.
