Jesus, I could've sworn the DS version had renamed the Masamune, but now I'm reading from y'all it was kept the same, and I looked up a FAQ just to be 100% sure and there it is. My brain just played a memory trick on me, and it had me tripping for a few minutes.

Download Floating IPS and a SMW rom. Then you open the .bps file and have it so that Floating IPS can open it. Then you click on the rom twice, and if it asks you to replace it press Yes.

Just beat /v/orld 1 with save states in preparation for /v/orld 3. I managed to get every dragon coin and 3-up except the one at the end of Lunch with Pope Francis because I couldn't find a way to get to the left of the goal post. The first hack was way more vanilla styled than /v/orld 2 but there were a lot of cool set pieces and ideas for every level.

I assume that Bowser's Castle doesn't get counted on the title screen right? It says 45 levels for me. I also feel like the ghost house at the end of world 2 has to be bait because there was no way to get there even after I beat all levels.

Gameplay is garbage, but at least if somehow these graphics could be ripped, it could be used to make a pretty interesting DKC romhack.

Hey guys. One of the original contributors to the wiki and these threads.

I know this isn't retro yet but I just picked up a PS2 fat model for $10. It had some issues though, such as a sticky door on the drive and just being dirty.

It was the first PS2 fat model I worked on and took apart

My god, what was Sony thing with the drive? No wonder it had just a high failure rate. All the moving parts and tracks that it can slip off of. Also doesn't help the PS2 fat model is a pain in the ass to take apart.

>MFW seeing that there's an interior shell that the guts are attached to and you have to run wires though it.
