Anon, people have been like that on the internet for about 30 years. This episode aired in 1995:

>did 86box steal all the thunder from PCEM?
PCem's last release was in 2020
86Box keeps releasing new versions frequently and has way more features and hardware you can emulate. In fact a new version just released 3 hours ago:
https://github.com/86Box/86Box/releases/tag/v4.1.1

The only advantage of PCem at this point is that it's less demanding because it focused more on performance than accuracy, but it's worse when it comes to everything else

That level was so good that Konami copied it a year later for this NES SHMUP

>That double jump timing can be a bitch
It's not that hard when you realize how it actually works. You can only do a double jump after reaching a certain height but the thing is your first jump gets higher the longer you hold the jump button. If you just tap the jump button and do a tiny first jump, double jumping is pretty much impossible. Now try holding the jump button and releasing it only the moment you need to press it again for the double jump

All four packs are available here:

This site is great in general for pre-XP Microsoft stuff

Literally feature creep
>Feature creep is the excessive ongoing expansion or addition of new features in a product, especially in computer software, video games and consumer and business electronics. These extra features go beyond the basic function of the product and can result in software bloat and over-complication, rather than simple design.
>Feature creep may arise from the desire to provide the consumer with a more useful or desirable product in order to increase sales or distribution. Once a product does everything that it is designed to do, the manufacturer may add functions some users might consider unneeded (sometimes at the cost of efficiency) or continue with the original version (at the cost of a perceived lack of improvement).
TL;DR Rare felt like they needed to change shit and add features or else people wouldn't buy the game

>board is literally dying
Board is losing users because we have a limited amount of games to talk about. The amount of users with spike back up in 2025 or 2026 when they allow 7th gen and people who are 25 make threads about how they were playing Skyrim when they were 11 and also Mass Effect waifufagging threads

This. You have to be really high IQ to appreciate something like Super Mario 64. Nintendo games demand a much higher level of intelligence to be enjoyed compared to something like Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill

Yep. Not that Anon but for some reason a lot of people make shit up when it comes to retro PC gaming, probably because it's easier for your lie to sound plausible to the average normie with all the different hardware configurations and stuff. For example people lying about running Doom smoothly at full screen size on a 386, or people lying about running Quake at over 60 FPS at launch when even with the best CPU available (Pentium 200 MHz), the game would run in the mid 40s and only at the lowest resolution possible

>80% of them are shovelware
That's literally every console ever Anon. Also make that 95%, which would give the Gameboy 50 good games and the N64 20 good games

It's a good card except for the Ad Lib/FM Synth part which is laughably bad so it's just not a good choice for games that only have Ad Lib music. It sounds amazing in games that have proper support for it though

I've played the original on Gamecube back in the day and I enjoyed the remake. Of course someone who hasn't played any version should start with the original.
I don't know what is it with /vr/ and always needing to declare only one version of a game good and every single other version as absolute dogshit. Same thing happening in Resident Evil threads where you're not allowed to like both the original RE1 and the remake

I was 11 when this came out and everyone I knew had a GBA but literally nobody had an e-Reader. Nowadays it's the kind of thing that exists just so people make Youtube videos about it
