Let's have a thread for games related in one way or another to Kamui Gakuto aka Gackt, prodigy musician who raised the bar on the japanese music game so high it made an entire generation of artists retire.
Anyway, the ones that come to mind:

Also known as Castlevania Symophony of the Night. The original japanese title actually means "Nocturne of the moonlight" and the same title was used as a song released by the cult gothic rock band Malice Mizer, where Gackt was a singer. The promotional video for this song features what appears to be a kid Alucard inhabiting a mansion with cursed dolls and ghosts, while Death (personified as Gackt) watches over him.

It's no secret Tetsuya Nomura was a big fan of Malice Mizer and so he based the fashion of the protagonist Squall on Gackt, specifically one of the costumes used on the set for Malice Mizer's seminal budokan live performance "merveilles l'espace"
>Metal Gear Solid 2
First known official collaboration by Gackt with a video game company, starring on the TV and magazine/graphic promotion for the release of the game. Curiously, around this time, his ex Malice Mizer bandmate Mana would be also working for Konami, helping them promote Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance.

One of the first games to feature actual facial tracing technology, allowing Gackt to serve as the model for the game's MC.
>Mega Man 2
Gackt attempted his own brand of GameCenterCX style show. He only played a bit of Mega Man 2 before it getting cancelled.

I know Gackt has worled with Square Enix for Dirge of Cerebus and recently, he was announced as a playable character for Tekken 8, but that's not retro.
