I really like the aesthetics of the older Colt carbines, before the modern M4A1.
It feels so appropriately period with the time Half-Life was released.

I think it looks nice, it's better detailed without looking incredibly out of place. I used it back when I was a kid and I liked the nicer sounds and nicer models.
I always hated the sound of the original MP5.
