>For him the essence of CT isn't the shonen stuff but ZEAL, the scene after you save (or don't) Lucca's mom, Ayla's musings about the meaning of life, the roaring on the map while "memories of green" plays, etc.
That is kinda true, in that Kato disliked heroic stories and happy endings and wanted to turn Chrono Trigger into a gloomy story with cheap drama and no happy ending. But of course, he wasn't actually in charge and was overruled in his most egregious stupidity.

That's exactly what happened though. Masato Kato, Cross's main writer wanted to write edgy trash and was probably pretty salty that his genius ideas for Trigger, like having Chrono be a doomed man walking and leading to a bittersweet ending, were rejected by Horii.

Yeah. That hack was left seething when they rejected his brilliant ideas for the first game and went full miseryporn for the sequel he was put in charge of.

Gee, I wonder why.

Is this how you're trying to cope? lol man. Kato was A writer but he was not THE writer. Yuji Horii did more for the story than Kato. Kato wanted to keep Crono dead, and even against making the game about time travel. But then again, you keep insisting that Guile and Magus are the same person despite absolutely nothing in the game implying it, so maybe you think that Crono really did die in Trigger and it was not a game about time travel just like your god Kato intended.

Seriously though, aren't you tired of bringing up one point after the other only to get immediately btfo'd and try to deflect by immediately moving to the next point?
