The games brazilians play are always the same, and the press is no different, made always by the same people. That means those who write for BR gaming sites are the same people from the awful 90's BR gaming magazines, where almost every single review was invented based on screenshots and videos or stolen of internet/foreign magazines and mistranslated into a jumbled mess. They know shit about games. They just write what the monkeys want to "read".
Needless to say that brazilians praise and miss those magazines too.

Nelson Rodrigues, who coined the term, said BR is the reverse Narcissus, that spit on its own image, as it don't find any reason to be proud. But is this wrong? I believe not, at least in modern times.
On the internet I see BR is a REAL Narcissus, and a fucking blind one, as it is always proud of crap, like those shitty Tectoy releases, or claiming how our nation is developed and powerful even though the poor fucks who say that will never benefit of such power.
Some months ago I was thinking of writing a blog, or even creating some videos, to show to the world how gaming really is on our country, and how consumers, and not only the stupid taxes, hurt our market, but the national backlash would surely be massive if the videos got popular.
The BRs would say to me to put things on my ass, but /vr/ would like it.
