Depends on the emulator; some people won't be satisfied until bits can be flipped by sunspots sporadically. The hardware experience isn't about "accuracy" to me so much as it's a non-tangible load of feels as to why people (myself) included prefer it. I still emulate, it's convenient. I don't need to own multiple PC Engines because I like Out Run and Double Dungeons, but I still do —it's retarded. Emulators will always be getting better, it's just time. The guy who made Nesticle is working on a cycle accurate NES emulator. You get a frame of video every half hour on modern computer hardware.

I have a few —9V DC 850mA (or higher) center pin NEGATIVE. If you match those specs you'll be fine. Guitar pedal PSUs are typically center negative.

It's fine, I have no idea how this became such a meme. Audio is subjective, it just sounds different. Composite modded Famicoms have way worse picture quality than an AV Fami, not worth it.

Why are you using a step-down when you could buy a native power supply for your region that's more efficient for upwards of $8.

Bokosuka Wars, Space Harrier, Cosmic Epsilon, Insector X, Dragon Buster (II is super cool as well); some of my personal favorites. All those happen to be FC exclusive too, that wasn't even intentional.

Rest in peace, Uemura-san. The Famicom makes me happy, thank you for that.

Of course man, anytime. The AV multi-out port is the same one the SNES and N64 use, so if you have an AV cable for either of those, you should be all set once you get a PSU. Keep in mind the FC/NES is composite only by design, so S-Video and RGB cables, even with the right connector won't work. NES controllers will work on it, you don't need anything special, just plug them in. You can get a Chinese 10,000 in 1 multi-cart to for like $5 if you want something silly to play around with while you wait to buy an EverDrive. A lot of early FC games never got NES releases so there's some cool "golden era" arcade ports and weird shit like NUTS AND MILK on nearly every multicart.

Basically just have fun, Famicom is life.

What are the best Japan-exclusive games for the Famicom and Super Famicom?
