It was truly a good time to be alive. Everything mattered. Every new console, innovation and sequel. It was all laced to the core with freshness and excitement. Look up the video of the kid unwrapping a Nintendo 64. We all felt that excitement inside, though only the autists showed it externally.
All the rhetoric about the 90s being better is true, young zoomie. You were born into a dark age and I feel bad 4 you. Please grow up to hasten the death of this sad world.

I've been playing the same games for the last 25 years

Why has nothing better than the command and conquer & RA1, total annihilation, maststers of orion 2, or duke nukem been made? Why does everything feel like poor remakes of the original just with better graphics and sound effects? Nothing is original or absolutely ground breaking

I acknowledge the catalog quickly became antiquated and would be useless now even if they still made it but god damn I miss that thing. This whole thread is making me nostalgic as fuck.

Back in the day it was typical for families to own one t.v and one only(unless you were particulary well off), so when a kid got to have some vidya time, it wasn't uncommon that your parents would be pottering about looking on at what you're playing. One of my fondest memories of Gex was when my parents actually started laughing at some of his references. I didn't get it but I didn't care, it was a nice feeling when your mum & dad got some enjoyment out of something you enjoy too.

Those were the days. Life comes at you fast. :(

I used to go to toys R' us and stare at the Neo-Geo and Tubografx CD behind the glass like they were museum displays or something.

I also used to go to the warehouse so I could buy a new CD, an INXS poster and some cassette singles while shopping for SNES games.

Newfags will never know these feels
