I could be repeating what someone said here earlier, but they removed both the moon symbol and the chant. Because they removed both of these, it is clear that they were trying to avoid offending religious people.

Nintendo has always avoided offending the religious crowd so this kind of action is nothing new. But it is important to note that Muslims probably get far more offended by this kind of stuff than any other religious group....
