Games with some of that early 3D a t m o s p h e r e. The more surreal or eerie, the better. Pre-rendered backgrounds are okay, too, I guess - I just finished Parasite Eve and I loved it.

Is Echo Night any good? Not sure if I want to pay 60$ for a CIB copy on ebay, but I really dig the look of it. Didn't know it was a Fromsoft game, either.

Echo Night, if you like the idea of walking around an empty cruise ship and helping ghosts by solving puzzles. Also you teleport to important points in the ghost's lives. The walk speed is kind of slow, though.

Also Echo Night: Beyond for PS2 is really fun, too. It takes place on an abandoned moon colony.
