I first found out about AVGN and angry retro YouTube reviewers in about 2010, by which time James had produced most of his signature eps. From there, I got into following the TGWTG drama, which was more interesting than their actual content. They seem like a clique that would be fun to be a part of, for a while: James was an honorary TGWTGfag for a brief period but seems to have noped the fuck out by the time that they produced a feature film.
