Man, that's the kinda life I wish I grew up in. If there is a God and he gives me another chance at life, I'd pick 90's suburban America. I guess movies andThe Simpsons make me think it's different, but damn. It just seems so colorful and carefree.

Recently played 7/8/9 last summer with mods to boot and I felt 7 held up, although it was either that on the PAL PS1 version (which I did play for an hour and a half, wouldn't recommend).

My only complaints came from the high encounter rate, the somewhat hard to follow story (although, I did play it in weird chunks of time), the low-res background forever lost to time, the jarring effect of being in a somewhat modern world in FF7. There's probably more but I can't really remember anything else bothering me.

Everything else was pretty good, and I liked it. Made me sad that I didn't play it when I was a kid since this seems like a series that you'd really appreciated as a kid instead of a jaded adult with no sense of wonder left.
