MGS is a really amazing game, I played through it for the first time in my life almost 2 years ago and its really something its like a high tier espionage film. That is the type of game that showed the advantage the ps1 had on the 64. I have to played MGS2 one of these days, its supposedly better than 1

I grew up with a mega drive and had lots of fun with super hang on even with it running at 20~30fps. I played outrun for the first time last year through the arcades of yakuza 0 and it was really fun. Recently I burned outrun for my saturn and had a blast playing it. That 2d thing surely is a problem for "realism" but it doesnt mean the game cant be amazing.

Look, at the end of the day, emulation will never beat the feel of playing on real hardware, on a real CRT with games that come on boxes like those sexy Sega CD ones; but saying that I care less or none at all because I emulate? When it was my lack of games that makes me appreciate all the plethora of games at ones fingertips in this age?

There is literally nothing wrong with nearest-neighbor scaling. I'd rather have mammoth-sized pixels than a screen covered in Vaseline and shit. CRTs and CRT shaders are the worst kind of meme.
