The Famicom was RF-only and it stayed that way until the Sharp Twin and the New Famicom were released, that latter of which came out after the SNES was already on the market. The majority of Famicom owners had the original model.

These games were literally made to be played over RF on an early 1980s CRT.

Even in the fourth gen most people were using composite or RF.

I use a RetroTink and I use the blur settings to make it look more like the image on the right. It looks a lot better.
