But saying this works for a lot of locks is definitely not true, it only works for locks with extremely poor bitting like this one, which has three 1 depth cuts and one 2 depth cut.
Also be careful about opening stuff like this, because sometimes locking it back up can be more difficult.
Not in the case of these Super famicom box locks, for sure, super easy, but like my 3DS demopod locks, they were a bitch to pick back into the locked position.
