If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you clearly did not beat the game.

Super Mario Bros 2 did feel like a big adventure as a kid. The environments were varied, stepping into the desert world was awesome, and the musics really emphasize that. The secrets in the game also helped make it feel big, it felt like there could be anything anywhere.

Some of the environments like caves and night time levels were unsetling, too; and the game was appropriately challenging. For a kid it was a challenge, but fair.

There are only 2 ways to play the game

>evenly spread and complete 5 levels per character
>play it all as Toad

>God tier
complete all levels with Toad

>Autist tier
complete 5 levels per character just so it shows 5-5-5-5

>Shit tier
complete 20 levels with Peach

>Casual tier
choose characters randomly

>Cheater tier
Use the warp pipes and pretend it's a legit way to complete the game and not just a mean to overcome the lack of saving
